Current Projects

Dave Bettney, Infrastructure and Logistics Coordinator, is currently raising funds for a Cafeteria Complex on campus.  The cafeteria complex will greatly benefit our school in numerous ways.  In the first stage of the project, the current music/art room would be turned into a kitchen, where the lunch ladies would be able to provide food for the students in a clean and well lit space.  In this area there would also be a place to sit, there would also be additional seating for students outside where the current caseta is located.  This project would include a second floor as well, where the art and music room would be divided into two separate classrooms.  In the final step of the process, once the Multi-Purpose Centre is constructed which is explained below, the art and music rooms would be transformed into two separate teacher apartments providing more options for our foreign teachers.  If you have interest in helping with this project please contact Dave Bettney at dave@ceehonduras.org.

Dave Bettney, Infrastructure and Logistics Coordinator, is currently raising funs for a Multi-Purpose Centre on campus.  The Centre will have multiple benefits for the school, including:
    1.    1.  A large covered area so we can still hold events and have P.E. classes during rainy season.
    2.    2.  A large meeting area so there is sufficient space for all students and parents.
         3.  More space for academic and administrative purposes like classrooms and meeting rooms

  • Dave and Esther Bettney have been working hard to raise support for the new library. Since starting this project over four years ago, the library has been modernized, over 1,000 books have been added and the library now has a computerized database to track books and barcodes. The school is still in need of Spanish children's books, Spanish novels and English reference books. Check out our school's Amazon Wish list!

  • "Read a Book, Give a Book" is a reading incentive program to help students learn the importance of reading as well as giving.  This program that has students paired with older students working as teams to read books together and complete comprehension sheets.  This in turn earns the students a chance to receive two new Spanish books, one for C.E.E. and another for a rural school in Honduras that has limited resources.  We have just recently received the new books and are excited to share with other Honduran students in need. If you are interested in helping by donating any Spanish books or donating money to buy new Spanish books, please click on the Support tab on our website.
